Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Calafate, I found myself immersed in a captivating blend of natural beauty and comfortable amenities that made for an enriching experience. The hotel boasts panoramic windows that offer splendid views of Coyhaique and Cerro Mackay, elevating the stay from merely pleasant to visually appealing, and just a short 15-minute drive from the town center. A notable advantage is their use of local services; Don Manuel, the taxi contact provided by the hotel, is reliable and fairly priced, lifting the logistical burden off guests. The breakfast served was ample and tasty, providing just the right fuel for a day of exploration. In terms of amenities, the free parking and complementary Wi-Fi in rooms made the stay smooth, while the clean, well-maintained rooms catered to basic comforts. Adding a touch of luxury without the excessive price tag, the outdoor hot tub with stunning views allowed for relaxation after a day of adventure. While the Calafate offers a certain indulgence, the balance of cost versus the experience provided makes it a commendable option for travelers seeking both value and a unique atmosphere.
